And, that’s a wrap!

And so, the curtain has come down on Wild Moo’s Chase! Unfortunately, our last show was cancelled today due to illness. While this is not the ending we wanted, we are incredibly grateful for the run we did have at the 2022 Edmonton International Fringe Festival.
Bringing this musical to life has truly been a wild ride! This was my first major musical project after the pandemic. I went through a lot of growth and introspection during the past two years, which gave me a new perspective on the world and a new creative direction and identity for myself as an artist. So, a musical that explores mental health, particularly OCD harm subtype, was the perfect project for me after the pandemic, since I got to be a part of a work that I could relate to and bring personal experience to.
I would like to thank our incredible cast and crew at Cathexis Theatre for bringing the wacky world of Meatland and its characters to life. Thank you, for letting me come on this journey with you to bring audiences this crazy story that has something very human to say about OCD and the people who live with it. Special shoutouts go to our composer Michelle Glen, who guided me in bringing her music to life, and to our writer/director/lyricist Erin Hutchison, who gave me the confidence I needed to return to the music field and rediscover my love of playing music. (And of course, let’s not forget the cow art fundraiser, where I had the opportunity to explore some new drawing skills as well, hahaha!) I can definitely say that it has been truly amazing, working with all of you, and I hope that we will work together again in the future, bringing more musicals to life.
Take care everyone, until next time!
